Charlotte food bank receives 270,000 eggs as part of NC Attorney General's settlement with producers

North Carolina’s attorney general has secured a major donation of eggs for food banks across the state as part of an antitrust settlement with the nation’s largest egg producers. The Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina in Charlotte received 270,000 eggs, following earlier distributions to food banks in Raleigh and Winston-Salem. The settlement aims to address concerns over market practices while providing much-needed supplies to struggling communities. Additional distributions are expected to reach more food banks in the coming days.
