Labour MP Jess Asato is taking a stand against the misuse of artificial intelligence technology after she was targeted by a notorious AI tool. The MP, who represents Lowestoft, was recently portrayed in fake, sexualized images generated by Elon Musk's xAI company's Grok tool, despite her vocal criticism of the creation of such non-consensual pictures earlier this year. Asato had spoken out in January about the proliferation of these images on social media platform X, calling it a "violation" of her privacy. Now, she's taking legal action against xAI, seeking to hold the company accountable for allowing its technology to be used in this way.
