A majority of school leaders in England report that even updated inspection processes are still harming staff mental health, according to a new survey commissioned by Ofsted. The findings suggest that efforts to ease the strain of inspections may have fallen short, with nearly nine in ten respondents indicating negative impacts on wellbeing. Nearly a third of those surveyed described the effect as significant, raising concerns about the long-term pressure on educators.
