A major stage adaptation of the long-running legal battle over the dismissal of a former prime minister is set to premiere at Sydney Opera House next year. Based on the secret correspondence between Queen Elizabeth II, the governor-general, and the prime minister at the time, the play explores the controversial events that unfolded six decades ago. The production will feature established actors in key roles, including a return to the stage for a well-known comedian and musician. This new work by Sydney Theatre Company marks the first theatrical adaptation of the historic political dispute.
