A specialized Turkish deep-sea rescue vessel, the TCG Isin, is being deployed to Cyprus to assist in the critical search for the voyage data recorder of a capsized passenger ferry, which lies 514 meters below the surface. The ship will support ongoing efforts to locate the 20 people still unaccounted for after the ferry sank near Kyrenia’s coast. Turkey has joined the international rescue operation following the Sunday disaster, where the vessel went down just outside the port town.
