British car sales have bounced back in a big way, with May registrations reaching their strongest level since the Covid pandemic first struck. According to the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, a total of 160,662 vehicles were registered last month, a 7% increase on the same period last year. The growth is being driven by a surge in demand for electric vehicles, with battery-powered cars recording the fastest growth rate of all. Chinese manufacturers BYD and Chery are also making significant strides in the UK market, with Tesla's sales jumping a whopping 45%."
