Over the next three years, participating companies—including well-known names like Marks & Spencer, Asda, and John Lewis—aim to create up to 100,000 opportunities to help these individuals develop essential skills and build confidence before entering the workforce. The initiative, backed by the Department for Work and Pensions, offers placements lasting between two and four weeks as a stepping stone toward sustainable employment. With over 40 retailers involved, the program seeks to address youth unemployment by giving participants hands-on experience in retail environments.
