Tensions between Iran and the United States have escalated as Iran's deputy foreign minister has made a scathing accusation against Washington, claiming that the US is deliberately trying to destroy the interim peace deal aimed at reviving the 2015 nuclear agreement. The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), also known as the Iran nuclear deal, was initially signed between Iran and world powers, including the US, to limit Iran's nuclear program in exchange for relief from economic sanctions. However, the US withdrew from the deal in 2018, sparking a protracted diplomatic crisis. Now, with the deal on the brink of collapse, Iran's deputy foreign minister has pointed the finger at the US, suggesting that Washington's actions are intentionally sabotaging the negotiations.
