A groundbreaking new study has shed light on the significant impact of weight-loss medications on household grocery bills. According to the research, users of GLP-1 medications, which stimulate the body's natural appetite suppressants, are making substantial savings on snack and treat purchases, with some households cutting their annual grocery bills by over £400. The study, conducted by Worldpanel by Numerator, found that the number of adults using GLP-1s has nearly tripled in the past two years, with 1.9 million individuals now relying on these medications. This surge in usage has led to a notable increase in households with at least one GLP-1 user, from 2.3% in 2024 to 6.3% in the latest survey period.
