Australia Seeks to Mitigate Global Supply Chain Disruptions: Fuel and Fertilizer Secured In a bid to alleviate the impact of the ongoing crisis in the Middle East, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has announced that the country has secured an additional 100 million liters of fuel and a vital shipment of fertilizer. The move comes as Australia and its allies in Asia work to shore up imports of essential goods, including fuel, that have been disrupted by the effective closure of the Strait of Hormuz. Despite the challenges, Albanese reported that 80% of diesel and aviation fuel production is continuing, with petrol production also proceeding at a reduced rate of 60%. As global supply chains remain under pressure, Australia's efforts to secure critical resources will be closely watched by nations around the world.
